Tolytriazole

Description :

Tolyltriazole is a very effective corrosion inhibitor for copper and its alloys. Tolyltriazole is especially useful in systems where fluids are in continuous contact with metals that require protection. In addition to copper, and its alloys, other metals that can be protected include zinc, cobalt and silver.

Appearance:  Typically a white to light yellow crystalline solid.
Melting Point:  Around 84-86°C.
Solubility:   Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, methanol, and acetone; less soluble in water.
Toxicity:   Tolytriazole is generally considered to have low toxicity, but it should be handled with care. It may be irritating to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract.
